parking

The Town of Occoquan is located less than a mile from I-95, just 20 miles south of Washington, DC. We are a small historic town and twice a year during our festivals, most streets and all parking in town are closed to accommodate the 300+ vendors and activities of the festival. This provides a safe walking experience for our visitors.

FREE PARKING is available at these nearby lots:

Purple Lot - Lake Ridge Commuter Lot

(Corner of Old Bridge & Minnieville Roads in Lake Ridge, VA)

Drop off/pick up located at Commerce St. & Washington St. shuttle stop. This lot is 1.5 miles from town, if walking. We do not recommend walking from this lot, due to lack of sidewalks on the majority of the walk, plus steep incline.

Green Lot - Rt. 123 Commuter Lot

(Corner of Rt. 123 & Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge, VA)

Drop off/pick up at Footbridge shuttle stop by River Mill Park. This lot is 0.7 miles from town, if walking. We recommend using this lot, if you plan to walk into town. It is mostly flat, however there is some incline closer to town, which may be difficult for wheelchair users.* It is fully sidewalked along Rt. 123/Ox Road.

Yellow Lot  - Workhouse Arts Center

(9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079)

Drop off/pick up at the shuttle stop under the Rt. 123 Bridge. This lot is 1.2 miles from town, if walking, with steep inclines on paved sidewalks.

Wheelchair accessible shuttle service is available at the Yellow Lot, both days, 10am - 5pm.

Guest Drop Off

The Yellow Shuttle Stop is the flattest drop off/pick up area for wheelchair users or those visitors with limited mobility. Use the following address for GPS/Map navigation: 121 Poplar Lane, Occoquan, VA.

Drop off is also available at the Purple Shuttle Stop on the corner of Commerce St & Washington St. This drop off requires navigating a small incline down to Mill Street.

Please be patient and follow police directions when dropping off guests.

*Accessible parking is available in town on a first come, first served basis, for those with state issued accessible placards. Visitors may also opt to be dropped off at a shuttle stop and have the driver of the vehicle park at one of the lots. See our Accessibility section for more details.

Shuttle Service

Run Times

Shuttle service is available Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Multiple coaches run from each of the three parking lots listed above. Generally, shuttles pick up and drop off every 15-20 minutes, however traffic incidents or unexpected heavy traffic on the roads into town may delay exact times.

Shuttle Fees

  • Shuttles are $8 round trip per person or 2 for $15

  • Children 12 and under ride FREE

Passes are good for both days.

Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted on-site. You may also pay via credit card or cash once you exit the shuttle while arriving at the festival.

All shuttle passes are round-trip. One way trip passes are not available.

FAQs

Are strollers permitted on shuttles?

Yes! We recommend folding them up before the bus arrives to conserve space.

Are pets allowed on shuttles?

Service animals are permitted on our shuttles. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcomed at the festival, but not on shuttles. This is due to the rules and regulations of the shuttle bus company.

I plan to walk down to the show, but I want to ride the shuttle back. Do I have to pay the fee?
Yes, there is no discount for one-way trips.

How do I know which stop to come back to?

Patrons should return to the location where they were dropped off. The stamp on their hand indicates which color shuttle stop they need. Nearby signage at stops will also be color coded. Bus routes are not identical.
