ARTISAN MARKET LOAD IN
Previous vendors will know that loading into Occoquan can be a challenge with our narrow, one-way streets and VDOT limit on street closures. With that in mind, there is some new logistical info below.
New: ALL VENDORS are welcome to preload either into the park or on the street on Friday evening, December 1 from 7pm to 9pm.
Otherwise:
River Mill Park Vendors ONLY, Phase 1
6:30am-8:30am
-
Drive up to River Mill Park at 458 Mill Street and park in the cul-de-sac, leaving room for other vendors.
-
Off load onto the sidewalk area or directly into a utility vehicle if available. Staff will be on site to oversee goods temporarily stowed in the cul-de-sac.
-
Move vehicle to the access road* and walk across the footbridge back to the park.
-
Tents in the park are 30 x 60 and each fits 12 vendors back-to-back. There are no side walls provided from which to hang things, but interior lights will be rigged.
-
One 6ft table is provided and will be labeled with your vendor name.
*PARKING FOR PARK VENDORS: With your offload complete, move your vehicle to the Vendor Parking area on the access road to allow room for vendors in the cul-de-sac. Do not leave your vehicle in the cul-de-sac parking spaces. Vendors are allotted one vehicle for the weekend on the access road. Permits will be sent in a separate email and need to be placed in the dash upon entry into town. Vendors that load in Friday evening do not need to move their vehicles off site during set up.

Phase Two: Mill Street ONLY, Phase 2
8:30am-10:30am, earlier if needed
-
Off load onto the sidewalk area first.
-
Before erecting your tent, please move your vehicle off site to the satellite parking lot. This will help anticipated congestion on Mill Street.
-
Vendors that need more time to set up may bring in their goods earlier and off load on the sidewalk but are asked to wait to set up their tents until after 8:30am.
PARKING FOR VENDORS ON MILL STREET AND SHUTTLE SERVICE: Because the town cannot accommodate over 100 vendor vehicles in town parking lots, vendor vehicles must move to satellite parking at the VDOT lot at 1325 Old Bridge Rd, Woodbridge, Va, after load in. Vendors that load in Friday evening do not need to move their vehicles off site during set up.
Vendor Shuttle Service
Saturday, 12/2: 7am till 8:30pm
Sunday, 12/3: 7am till 7pm
This service is free and no pass is required to show the driver. In town drop off is at the corner of Mill and Ellicott Streets.
HOLIDAY ARTISAN MARKET EVENT SCHEDULE
Saturday, December 2, 11am to 7pm
Sunday, December 3, 11am to 4pm
Visits with Santa
Santa arrives by boat at the town dock at Mamie Davis Park December 2 at 10:45am. Kids of all ages are then invited to escort Santa to the Holiday Artisan Market to open the show. The big guy will be available to visit 11am to 1pm both Saturday and Sunday in the park.
Gingerbread House Contest
The community votes on their favorite gingerbread creations December 2 and 3 during the Artisan Market.
Shuttle
Free shuttle service is available for patrons from VDOT Lot at 1325 Old Bridge Rd, Woodbridge, Va from 10am to 8:30 on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
Promotional Images
Feel free to use the graphics below to promote your business (right click to save). Be sure to tag us and follow @visitoccoquan on Instagram and visitoccoquanvirginia on Facebook to easily share posts and stories. This event is branded, so please do not recreate imagery to use on social or recreate your own Facebook events as this just causes confusion.

Power, Lighting and Décor
Please feel free to dress up your space for the holidays! Remember that beginning around 5:30pm, it begins to get dark, so be prepared to light up your area if you are located on Mill Street. Park tents will have interior lights. Quiet generators are only allowed at this market.
Volunteers
Volunteers will be available to booth sit for you for short intervals, but they will not be able to conduct any business for you.
Lunch Options
There are many places in town to find a bite to eat during the weekend. Feel free to place an order with one of our eateries, or BYO lunch. This event has no food trucks.

Check In
Vendors do not need to specifically check in, but staff will be on hand during load in and out. If you have questions or concerns, my cell number for the weekend (only) is 571-572-6761.
Breakdown
Please be a kind guest of our town and leave your booth space on Sunday as tidy as you found it. Do not leave anything behind and take with you all trash, including empty boxes.
Load Out
-
Break down completely.
-
Rather than bringing vehicles back into town, park vendors might consider shuttling goods across the footbridge to vehicles via hand cart.
-
Mill Street vendors should flag a staff member down when you are ready to clear your space and alert police so they may monitor traffic flow.
Thank you for your support of Occoquan and we wish you a very successful weekend while you are here with us!
